The pipette shaft has to be unscrewed from handle grip before autoclaving. Using instruments with a volume range of 0.1-1µl and from 200µl to 1000µl the shafts are completely autoclavable, working with sizes from 5µl to 200µl and from 2ml up to 5ml the shaft has to be disassembled and the separated parts are autoclavable. We recommend the use of sterilization bags.
