BLAUBRAND® quality
Volumetric instruments
They are made of glass that is highly resistant to nearly all chemical substances – an essential prerequisite for durable precision. A statistical process control ensures strict compliance with predefined limit values. The intended application determines which measuring instrument should be used. Precision analyses require measuring instruments with consistently high precision. Even the most sophisticated automated systems will only deliver reliable results if the volumetric instruments used in preparing the samples meet the required precision.
All reusable BLAUBRAND® volumetric instruments are supplied with one batch certificate per packing unit as standard.

Graduation with ring marks at main graduations
Class A/AS volumetric instruments are within the error limits defined by DIN and ISO and are marked with DE-M.
BLAUBRAND®
Ring marks and inscriptions in high contrast blue enamel. It combines resistance and readability to optimum effect.
BLAUBRAND® ETERNA
Ring marks and inscriptions in brown ETERNA diffusion dye. It diffuses into the glass surface and can only be removed by abrasion. It is used for volumetric instruments which are subjected to particularly aggressive cleaning methods.
Graduation with short lines at main graduations
Class B volumetric instruments are within twice the error limits of Class A/AS as defined by DIN and ISO.
SILBERBRAND
Ring marks and inscriptions in high contrast white enamel.
SILBERBRAND ETERNA
Ring marks and inscriptions in brown ETERNA diffusion dye. Particularly durable, e.g. resistant against aggressive cleaning methods.
Every glass volumetric instrument is individually calibrated. Computer-controlled systems ensure maximum precision in fully-automated production processes.
Statistical Process Control (SPC) guarantees production of volumetric instruments with the smallest deviation from nominal capacity (accuracy) and narrow scatter of individual values (coefficient of variation).
Calibration types
'In':
The contained quantity of liquid corresponds exactly to the volume indicated on the instrument (e. g., graduated cylinders and volumetric flasks).
'Ex':
The delivered quantity of liquid corresponds exactly to the volume indicated on the instrument (e. g., pipettes and burettes).
Subject: Glass or plastic volumetric instruments (only Class A/AS) and piston-operated volumetric instruments
For volumetric instruments to be kept ready and used in areas regulated by law, such as the medical and pharmaceutical fields (manufacture and testing of medicines), the German Calibration Regulation requires a Certificate of Compliance from the manufacturer. This is certified with the mark "H" and the manufacturer's code – here, "B" for BRAND.
Replaces the Calibration Regulation. For volumetric instruments to be kept ready and used in areas regulated by law, such as the medical and pharmaceutical fields (manufacture and testing of medicines), the German Measurement and Calibration Regulation requires a Certificate of Compliance from the manufacturer.
